CommunityDNS Joins the DNSSEC Industry Coalition
(Bath University's Innovation Centre, UK - July 22, 2009)
The Internet has an affect on most everyone's lives today, whether social, work, educational, financial, medical or even through civil groups such as government, law enforcement and emergency management.. states Paul Kane, CEO of CommunityDNS. "We are all connected and the Internet makes this happen. The DNS is the common denominator for making the 'connections' work!"
A recent study indicates that Europe.s online market alone is worth "106 billion in revenues, yet only 12% of the EU.s users of the Internet feel safe in completing transactions online. "While the EU is working on programs to help build e-confidence I know we, as a group, can do better by providing the underlying security needed to build e-confidence and curb malicious activity" comments Kane.
We have always been keen on security as that is the basis upon which the CommunityDNS platform was initially designed. Our network has supported DNSSEC since 2008 so our commitment to a secure and resilient Internet has always been there" says Kane. "We look forward to working with the Coalition to help raise visibility about DNSSEC and aggressively work to curb potential exploits from the malicious community."
